Coach Jacqueline's Bio
I’ve been an athlete my whole life since I was three. I started out in gymnastics and spent 10 years as a competitive gymnast. I also spent 4 years as a springboard diver and dance competitively on and off over the years. If cheerleading had been available where I grew up I certainly would have gotten into it sooner but my first opportunity to become a cheerleader was in law school. So, I joined the varsity team at UBC in 2010 and became the captain in 2013. It was an awesome team and I loved cheering at school games but my inner child was still a competitive gymnast and I wanted something a little bit more competitive. So, in 2013 I joined an All-Star level six team, and went to the world championships in Florida with that team. Since 2014 I have changed my personal focus in training to bodybuilding and fitness and I'm currently the National Fitness champion. However, in 2017 and 2018 I had the privilege of assistant coaching tumbling and cheerleading for Midnight Cheer Athletics in Vancouver. I loved being around such a positive team environment and hope to be involved in coaching cheerleading and gymnastics for the rest of my life.
